It
feels amazing to go out and help someone out of the kindness of your heart. It
is a pillar of society to help those in need of it and the positive karma that
comes out of helping another gives you an afterglow on like none other. To
streamline the process, many organizations have been developed so that you can
donate to a charity of your choice and some even inform you when your donation
has been used to help another. As great as these organizations may be, not all
of them are as candid as they may appear. There are some organizations that
take your donations and use them in the wrong way. Therefore, it’s worth
knowing the correct Organizations to Donate to in order to ensure that your
donations are not misused or abused in any way, shape, or form.
Do They Let You See Their Work in Person?
There
is no better way of confirming your donations are going to the right people
than by seeing them go before your very eyes. All good charity organizations do
not hesitate showing you your donations being used by the people you have
donated to. It’s organizations that can present their work with pride that are
the organizations to donate to. Organizations that plan on using your donations
the wrong way will find some excuse as to not show you your donations being
given to the people you wanted them to go to. A prime example of this is when
you go to donate blood, the organization should give you the serial number of
the bag your blood was collected in and then show you picture proof of your
blood being used to help someone.
How Often Do They Engage Volunteers?
Another
indicator of a good organization is that they host volunteer work regularly and
ask people in societies to partake to help those who need it. Helping through
giving is enough for a lot of people and that’s perfectly fine, but sometimes
people feel like there’s more to be done to help and these are the sort of
people who enjoy helping to serve a better cause. Bad organizations will show
volunteer work but you will almost never see them going around asking people to
volunteer for them. Most of the volunteer work they present on their banners
and websites is faked which takes away the publics trust from other, more
reputable organizations as a result. The bottom line is, if you’ve ever seen
members of the organizations trying to arrange members of a society for some
charity even then you can be sure that organizations is among the organizations
to be donated to.
Do They Have an Ultimate Target to Achieve?
It’s
all well and good for you to want to extend your hand to help another. However,
it must be an effort that leads to something better ultimately. There is no
point helping somebody who is seemingly stuck in the same place and not using
the aid they are given to build themselves up to make themselves
self-sustained. Good organizations understand this better than anybody else and
that is why they make sure that they help people bring themselves to the point
where they no longer need aid to survive. Therefore, look for organizations who
aim to provide people with self-sustainability and not just an endless supply
of aid.
